This treatment includes Marma (vital energy points) therapy to harmonise and stimulate the organ functions and boost the body's immunity. Warm bamboo sticks and hot volcanic stones are also offered which produce a sedative effect on the nerve endings and further soothe the muscles to melt away any aches, pains, tension and inflammation. Ayurvedic Reflexology (Padabhyanga)
In Ayurveda, the feet are considered the foundation of the body - supporting our physical balance and are deeply connected to the nervous system and vital organs. Ayurvedic Foot Reflexology (Padabhyanga), is an ancient healing technique that stimulates Marma points (vital energy points) on the feet to boost the immune and circulatory systems, which aids rejuvenation, detoxification, improves organ function and helps with pain relief; therefore making it an extremely effective treatment for promoting our overall wellness and longevity as well as being a deeply relaxing holistic therapy.

Ayurvedic Shirodhara

Shirodhara (meaning 'head flow') is a deeply relaxing and blissfully meditative treatment producing a calm mind and inner peace. Beginning with an Ayurvedic head, neck and shoulder massage, warm herbal oil is then gently and rhythmically poured over the forehead (third eye) in a continuous stream while the head and third eye chakra are gently massaged.
The herbal oils we use for Shirodhara are a blend of rosemary essential oil - aligned with the third eye (Ajna) chakra - promoting intuition, focus and clarity, and lavender essential oil - associated with the crown chakra (Sahasrara) - renowned for its amazing calming effect on the mind. Both rosemary and lavender essential oils are also enormously beneficial for hair health.
Some of the many benefits which make Shirodhara such a popular Ayurvedic therapy include the wonderful release of endorphins - our uplifting, happy and pain relieving hormones, improved mental clarity and focus, its soothing effect on tension - especially beneficial for headaches and migraine as well as aiding restful sleep.
During treatment, the head is kept flat, and your eyes are safely covered with a rose water infused muslin cloth, while a cotton coil is draped just above the eyebrows for complete protection of the eyes.
